Job Summary

The Data Analytics and Performance Manager oversees the Court’s data reporting, analysis, and performance measurement functions. This position is responsible for supervising staff who develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics, and for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and strategic value of all Court data. The Manager collaborates with Court leadership, Directors, and external partners to analyze program outcomes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making. The position plays a key role in advancing the Court’s strategic planning, resource allocation, and compliance with statutory and grant reporting requirements.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise staff responsible for data collection, analysis, and dissemination to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with Court-wide reporting needs.

Monitor and analyze Court outcomes and performance metrics to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for operational and programmatic improvement.

Collect and analyze data on Court and program performance metrics; develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate insights to Court leadership and staff.

Provide training to Court staff on the utilization of dashboards and data reports to ensure end users can correctly interpret and apply data in their decision-making.

Collaborate with Court Directors, managers, and line-staff to establish performance goals and targets; provide ongoing monitoring, analysis, and recommendations to ensure goals are met.

Support Directors and leadership through research, analysis, and preparation of written materials, reports, and data visualizations to guide decision-making and strategic planning.

Design and maintain dashboards and data tools that support budget development, resource allocation, and projections for grant-funded programs.

Conduct ad hoc and specialized analyses to address emerging issues or questions from leadership.

Coordinate data subcommittees and cross-department efforts to prioritize performance measures, improve data quality, and strengthen data collection practices across the Court.

Collaborate with external researchers, funders, and other partners by coordinating data collection and preparing specialized research reports.

Ensure that all statistical reports and visualizations are accurate, consistent, and value-added for decision-making and compliance purposes.

Manage databases and analytic tools to support data-driven operations and strategic Court initiatives.

Provide regular updates to Court leadership on performance trends, issues, and opportunities for organizational improvement.

Contribute to data governance practices to ensure high standards of data quality, integrity, and compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Has supervisory accountability for other employees, volunteers, or interns.  Plans, directs and coordinates activities for a unit.  Duties may include scheduling and assigning of work, training in all facets of work, quality control, and decisions impacting the pay, status and tenure of others.  Conducts performance evaluations, provides input into and participates in discipline, dismissal, and hiring processes, and is accountable for editing timecards in the electronic timekeeping system for assigned staff.

All court-related information regarding hearings, etc. that the employee may come in contact with by working in the facility.  All employee-related information such as salary and benefits information that the employee may come in contact with by working in the facility.

Working Conditions

Works in a general office setting with moderate noise levels.

Usual Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, to speak clearly, and to hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

Demonstrated leadership skills and management capabilities.  Ability to select, lead, motivate and supervise staff.  Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Must have delegation skills, effective time management, multitasking ability, analytical skills and technical skills. Ability to think and act strategically, effectively execute plans and projects, drive results, work collaboratively, and problem solve. Must be skilled in database navigation, and report generation. Proven record of discretion and diplomacy; ability to work as part of a team; must be culturally competent; Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting.  Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.  Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.  Familiarity with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plus.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Public Administration, Statistics, or Information Systems.

AND

Three (3) years of related work experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related field.
